rewind! fast forward! WAIT! where is pause???

Just one year ago, I looked like this.......

And though I had never seen your face, I loved you still.
We were working hard to make your little palace ready.
I was hoping that it would help me go into labor.
NOPE!

I tried EVERYTHING to get you here!
Castor oil is NASTY!
Trust me, don't try it!

I was just so very anxious to see your pretty little face in person
and not just in a black and white blurry image.
I just knew that you would look like your Daddy.

And then it was time......
And in a teency weency moment, (not really more like 12 hours later)
you were here

Fresh from Heaven.
Perfect.

In this moment when you grabbed my finger.......
I was SMITTEN!
Awestruck
(there really are no words)

And I was amazed that an almost 9 lb. baby came out of my little body!!!

This moment was second best. He was so very very excited to meet you!
I think he loves you almost as much as Daddy and Me.

This past year we have had moments like this.
A lot of moments like this.
And then life fast forwarded, and here we are. You are a walking, talking, signing, silly, SWEET one year old that loves baby dolls, Elmo, and your family!

We love you so much Jansen! You are an answered prayer, and every day, you live up to all God promised you to be! As close to perfection that Heaven allows on Earth.
We are so glad you came!
Royal dignity was yours from the day you were born. -Psalm 110:3
Happy Birthday Princess Jansen Kate!
